Amanda Gore is a physiotherapist, author, director of The Joy Project and award-winning international keynote speaker who presents around 60 times a year across the globe.
After graduating °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp’s, Amanda studied physiotherapy and psychology, later practising in hospitals in Australia and overseas. She taught at The University of Queensland where she participated in several committees and was one of the founding members of the sports medicine physio sub group. Amanda later moved into the field of occupational health becoming the first occupational physiotherapist at Australia Post where she was instrumental in establishing an OH&S facility.
For the past 35 years, Amanda has travelled the world as an international speaker, fuelled by a passion to help people stay well rather than treating them once they are in pain. She spent nine of those years speaking in the USA. Amanda uses the principles of emotional intelligence to transform the spirit of people and cultures by changing perceptions, improving relationships, connecting people, managing change, leadership, innovation and team dynamics.
With speaking came writing and, during this time, she has written five books including Joy is an inside job which triggered her latest venture, The Joy Project, which aims to create a global joy movement where people learn to rediscover their joy using the principles in her book.
Amanda has been the recipient of several awards including the Toastmasters Community Award in 1994, the Meeting Planners International Favourite Speaker in 2007, the NSAA Keynote Excellence Award in 2009 and in the same year she was admitted into the Speaker Hall of Fame and voted as one of the 25 hottest speakers in the USA.
Amanda believes °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp’s had a huge influence on her ability to study, learn and her continued desire to grow. “My years at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp’s gave me a sense of confidence and knowledge that I could do anything I wanted to and I emerged with a love of science, English, maths and sport.”
